Nas amplas e serenas planícies do noroeste dos Estados Unidos, onde a terra encontra o céu em tranquila harmonia, nasceu Kyle Findley-Meier, conhecido como Kyle FM. Desde jovem, nas suas raízes rurais, encontrava na música um refúgio sereno, compondo canções que falavam da simplicidade e beleza da vida cotidiana.

Influenciado pelas suaves melodias de Neil Young e James Taylor, Kyle FM moldou a sua arte com um coração humilde, deixando que cada nota e palavra ecoassem as verdades íntimas da alma humana. Em 2011, com o espírito leve de um viajante, embarcou numa viagem de descoberta pelos Estados Unidos numa velha caminhonete. Cada caminho percorrido, cada paisagem avistada, transformava-se em versos e canções, capturando a essência das suas jornadas.

Os palcos dos Estados Unidos acolheram-no com a mesma simplicidade com que ele se apresentava, partilhando a sua música com almas que, como ele, buscavam a verdade nas melodias. BIOGRAPHY (en)
My name is Kyle Findley-Meier. I grew up in the rural corners of the Pacific Northwest of the United States, where fog hangs low over the farmland and mountains loom like grandparents. I started writing songs when I was three years old and, honestly, I still feel like I’m figuring it out.
For most of my twenties and early thirties I was the lead singer and main songwriter for The Sky Colony, a “dream folk” band based in Skagit Valley, Washington. We played more than 400 shows around the west coast of the US, sharing bills with many of the folk/americana artists who shaped that scene. Our records In a Dream and All of Us blended psychedelic folk, vocal harmonies, and spiritual reflection, with critics comparing the sound to Neil Young, Fleet Foxes, and The Tallest Man on Earth.
In that time I also became a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), not as some distant industry figure, but as a working songwriter trying to honor the craft and community that raised me. My greatest joy in the Recording Academy was mentoring new artists.
After years of touring the American west, my wife and I moved to Portugal, settling on the Atlantic coast in a small town north of Porto. From here I’ve begun a new chapter: performing under my full name, and carrying these songs into Europe – small venues, listening rooms, art parties on pilgrim routes, and anywhere people gather to hear something honest. My live show is simple: one vocal, one guitar, and a room full of people.
I write folk songs that hold space for real life – migration, emotional worlds, and love that survives the disconnection of the modern world. The music has been called "spiritual without being preachy", influenced by practices of meditation, men’s work, and the idea that intention + frequency = healing.
Onstage I’m equal parts storyteller and singer. I talk slow, I sing even slower, and I try to make every show feel like a shared campfire rather than a performance you watch from far away. Some nights it’s a whisper-quiet, pin-drop set; other nights the whole room is singing the last chorus back and I forget for a moment that I ever doubted the power of music at all.
I’ve played wineries, barns, festivals, house shows, coastal chapels, and city clubs. I’ve also stood in front of three people in a bar and played like it was the last show I’ll ever get. I've been doing this a long time, and it still feels like the most honest work I know how to offer.
Now based in Afife, Portugal, I’m building a presence in the European scene – from intimate listening rooms to festivals seeking deeply human, lyrically rich folk music from across the Atlantic. Whether you’re a booker, promoter, or just someone who loves songs that stay with you on the ride home, I’d love to bring this music to your stage.
